Front Sprocket Cover, WTF
Was cleaning up the Bandit today, and during the cleaning process there was a lot of thick junk up towards the front.
So, I take off the plastic cover then start unbolting the Sprocket cover, but cannot budge it.
There is another piece that I could unbolt, but didn't want to as it has a bleeder nipple on it, and I am not sure what it is.
The markings are NISSIN.
Does anyone know how to get the sprocket cover off this.

Re: Front Sprocket Cover, WTF
Its the clutch slave cylinder, pushes a rod through to the clutch on the opposite side of the engine. I have not had this off on the Bandit but have removed it on RF900 and its no issue. Its a sealed unit which then pushes the rod to disengage the clutch. You will need to remove the regulator that sits above the alloy plate you are trying to remove, it may be the bolt stopping you from removing it (see the black V bracket). Don't remove the cylinder marked Nissin from the alloy plate (no need to) Also attached to the alloy plate is the speed sensor. Once you have removed the bolts for the regulator you will need to just wiggle the alloy plate out as the rod will not let the plate just drop out as such. Removal is required to get to the front sprocket for replacement. I have a service manual on file if you need it, just send a pm and I will forward it to you.

Thanks Cal.
PM Sent
The "Black V" appears to be a heat sink?????
I will pull that one out in the morning as well.
so Finally,
Take out for bolts holding the cover,
Take out the Bolt on the "Black V"
Wiggle it out?????
Do I need to disconnect the speed sensor?
The Nissin unit is sealed? so if I need the extra room, I can take it off without fluid spewing everywhere?
Sorry for the dumb questions. (the CB400 never had anything like this)

PM me a proper email address and I will send it through. It wont go through to the bandit email, its too big. Yes the "heat sync" is the regulator. I think for memory there are three bolts. I had this of not long ago. The bolt at the bottom as attached to the Alloy plate you are trying to remove and one either side and toward the engines inners a bit.

You will not need to (read don't) disconnect the "Nissin" cylinder from the alloy plate nor the speed sensor. Once you have the manual it will make more sense.
Re: Front Sprocket Cover, WTF
Pages of manual attached. You can see in the picture (second right) the rod I was talking about. This will also come out if you pull on it, doesn't matter though. Just be sure that it goes back in before re-assembly otherwise no clutch!

Thanks Cal, will be giving this a look at on the weekend.
Much Appreciated
