Belated intro
Hi guys
I have referred to this forum quite a bit since I picked up my '07 1250SA about a year ago and have been grateful to many of you for your experience. I have used the bike for daily commuting and getting into the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast hills with the missus on board most days off. It might be a budget machine, but the torque makes up for any flaws.
Unfortunately, having put 10k kms on it in the past year, she has to go to make room for the boat I can't afford. Apparently, I am allowed only one toy at a time.
So I just wanted to say thanks for those reviews, tests and opinions that I referred to every time I wanted to buy a new accessory or make an adjustment. When I get a chance soon, I will be throwing some items into the 'For Sale' section, like a rack, bags, Vstream screen, intercom etc.
In the interests of giving something back, I recently read about someone in this forum experiencing popping through the pipe after changing to an aftermarket. I am unsure whether this problem has been addressed, but I had the same problem and it drove me insane. I found the solution on a Youtube posting by some American guy. It seems that if you block the air pipe on the right side of the bike that runs between the pair reed valve and the air cleaner box, it stops the popping. I can tell you you from experience (I used a bolt to block the pipe), it works a treat.
So thanks guys. Hopefully by the time I get another bike, there will be a new Bandit out that I can buy. With a better seat, hopefully .

Thank you and good night. Never fear, there will be another bandit in the shed eventually. Just need time to break it to the missus.
