Welcome Cal.
That's an interesting screen you have there, can I ask who the manufacturer is? and how good is it? (not that I'm in the market for one, just interested)

Welcome to the forum mate.

That is the first time I've seen a screen like that too!

G'day Cal. I had the choice of the 06 or 07 when I was looking at bandits, I decided to go with the old motor & gear box, as I thought I'd go tried & proven as against the newer unproven injected 1250 & 6 speed gear box. The 06 that I ended up with also had less mileage & was less money. Anyway, hope all goes well, as it will.
Enjoy
Cheers, Steve

Hi Baz, the screen is an MRA. To be honest not sure how good it is, I have yet to give the bike a proper run (it come with the bike-purchased yesterday). Will post an update for you soon. I purchased an MRA screen for a RF900 I owned (Bike got killed by a 4x4), and I modified it somewhat after a few rides to get it right. Will be interesting to see if this is better/worse. I also have the original screen for the bike.

Thanks all for your welcomes. Paul, from the end off the hills - Kanmantoo.
Hammy, yes it is - a sawn-off one at that. The bike also come with a dyno-jet power commander. May need some advice on how to work it?

I am not new to bikes, been riding for 20+ years and have mainly stuck with Suzuki's. In among the bikes 3- RF900's and an RF600 GSX-R750T, GSX-R600, GSX750F. I also managed to break a new TL1000s with about 20kms on the clock (shop demo bike) Spent lots of time around Phillip Island (I am a Victorian) photographing and riding, worked for AMCN, Two Wheels, Aus Road Rider etc.. Changes in life have taken me to S.A. I am a postie up in the hills now.

Thanks for the welcome guys. By the way, just to see if I got a good buy or not - Give me your thoughts on what my bike should have cost. 2007 model 19000kms on the clock, Yoshi pipe, power commander, MRA touring screen, tyres 80%. No dings dents or scratches. See who gets the closest to my purchase price......

Ok, gives me the idea that I did good. $6500+rego. I am stoked with the bike too. So much torque! Just amazing. Oh, from a dealer in Port Pirie by the way. The owner of the bike is mates with the dealer, I spoke with the owners son while filling up with fuel and he said his dad has 14 other bikes and the bandit was not getting much use.
