Question for 1250s owners with aftermarket handle bars
Hi all,
Need to go to a different bend with less pullback and a lower height. But the stock bars seem to put the control levers really close to the upper fairing/ bars to tank. Do Renthal ultra lows hit either way? Any other suggestions? Was thinking of trying a set of flat bars and some risers but I'm not convinced.
Cheers

Re: Question for 1250s owners with aftermarket handle bars
Hammy has some Renthals, wider than standard and low rise, he seems to like them. Based on what he said and what I saw when we last rode I decided to try some wider bars with less sweep myself. I have chrome steel Drag bars with 2" Rox risers to get the position just right for me. I have to say I found it a big improvement for me. Also well away from the fairings and tank. I found using the Rox Risers and Drag bars means I can adjust each position independently ie forward and rearward bar position/height and bar droop ie twist of the bar.
Rox Risers I got from Motorcycle Adventure Products and Drag Bars from Third Gear, they also do Renthal bars as well some generics.

Re: Question for 1250s owners with aftermarket handle bars
Hi, I have the Renthal Ultralow in black on my 1250FA, took a little fiddeling but I have managed to set them up so they clear at both ends, only be a bee's willy though. Found out the hard way when I had them to far forward and a full lock turn resulted in the front brake coming on, which tightened the turn and thus increased the braking power. You live and learn.

If you do go down this path, read about the bar end modification options.
