'06 Exhaust options Empty '06 Exhaust options

I've trawling the interwebs today and tonight looking at exhaust options for my 2006 1200.
Seeing as the 2006 was a sort of 'in between' model, I'm seeing a lot of pipes marked 1996-2005 and the occasional one marked 1996-2006.

Whats the difference? I'm assuming the early models put the outlet of the headers and a different location? Hanger location different?
If I can get an idea, then I can work out if its worthwhile trying to modify something.

My lad has a 2006 bandit & put a Yoshimira slip on on it to suit 2001 to 2005 gsf1200/s
it had a number 112525 on the invoice ( stainless oval shape )& he got it from some mob in California / the mounting strap & bolt & everything lined up perfectly.
