Standard pipe is 590 long, after market IE Beowulf at 450 and they do a short version 380.
The question is does shorter mean louder? or is it just a question of looks? or is there a performance issue?

I read up abit about it a year ago, if its true or not i dont know. study
long makes more torque & short makes more power.

This is true of un-cross linked header pipes not mufflers. A shorter muffler is generally louder than a longer one.

Go the shorty. They look better IMHO.
Makes sense that they are a little louder but by how much??????

i've seen them on the suzuki's.....they look more sporty. the short ones that is....

isn't it the motion of ocean, not the length of the boat? lol. sorry, someone had to say it
