If 300ml of fuel additive treats 60 litres. How much to treat 19 litres? Is it 95ml?

'total amount able to be treated' divided by 'amount you want to treat' = X

'total size of treatment' divided by X = what you need to use this time

so

60/20=3 (I used 20 cause it makes life easy)
300/3=100

put 100ml in the tank, it's close enough

0.3/60 = x/19

Transpose to: x = 0.3 x 19/60

= .095l = 95mm

Yep, I thought I was right. The reason for the whole thing was, I went to buy some injector cleaner and there was none on the shelf so I bought octane booster - cleaner. I filled the tank with Shell 91, (which looked more like water than petrol, no colour or smell) along with 50ml of booster - cleaner. The bike ran to work like a swiss watch, smooth as silk, with a economy of 5.3k/l. It claimed to remove all carbon/deposits from injectors, combustion chambers, valves. and recommended every fourth/fifth tank.

I was reading that all fuels sold in Oz have to by law have detergents in them and all the fuel additives do is put more detergents in. Rolling Eyes
I don't know how true it is.

maybe they should put a bit more in , we just had Sue`s Mazda`s injectors cleaned ......... I usually add some to the bike , but will also do the car from now on too Embarassed (I would think octane booster would work differently )

I put a couple of squirts of "Morning Fresh" into each full tank. Dont know if it's cleaning the carbs but I get a nice lemon scented exhaust, and theres no streaks.

Just a tip.

I did 400,000km in a VN Commodore and am well into that number again in a Falcon and have never put that shit in and the injectors have never been touched. V6 cam, oil pump, welsh plugs, computer and coil packs were a different story though Crying or Very sad
