CORNERING PREFERENCE
I find I put no effort at all into left-hand corners - it just naturally happens. But right-handers are a different story, and I have to really concentrate and work hard to get the line right. Even then I reckon I always corner slower on right-handers than left-handers, and probably lean it over less. Do others have a 'natural preference', either way? If so, what is behind this?

Re: CORNERING PREFERENCE
I like right handers but I think it depends on where you ride.
I'm right handed. Does that make a difference?

Hmm, like the theory but I'm right handed and definitely have a preference for left-handers.

Re: CORNERING PREFERENCE
Maybe it`s a subconscious thing because on left hand turns you still have the other side of the road as run off / where as on a right hand turn you only have the edge of the road .

Re: CORNERING PREFERENCE
How about this theory .
When you turn left ,your pressing on the left bar (counter steering ) no problems.
Then you turn right ,your pressing on the right bar but you are also controlling the throttle with the same hand . Thats multi tasking .

Re: CORNERING PREFERENCE
Ewok, can tip it to the left near falling, completely different when going to the right. I just acknowledge it takes more concentration for one side. Dunno what it is, always the way, can do donuts on the pegs to the left, not a snow flakes hope in a pizza oven on the right... go figure.

I remember ready something along those lines years ago , sounds reasonable anyway.

A left hand corner is banked the good way (road camber ) right hand is not .

Re: CORNERING PREFERENCE
Well, I exaggerate a little. There are a couple of runs in the top end. One is the Litchfield National Park loop road. Once It's fully sealed it will be on the list of austs must do bike roads (around 100km of fun) another is the Kakadu highway (125km of fun). Best ridden in the buildup or wet season when all the terrorists have gone back home.
Me? I seem more comfy on left handlers. After having a down on diesel a couple of years back It took me a while to get my confidence back.

We will need to do the back road to litchfield bill fresh bitumen and 15k of sweepers, and I prefer cornering left am left handed and think its the lack of runoff area on a right hander that is all a mind thing
