January ride

A couple of people didnt notice the monthly ride section, so ill post it up here as well

Date: January 31st
Meet: Macgraths Hill McDonalds, 0830 - 0900 depart
Route: From Windor out to Penrith. Molgoa and Picton Rd to Picton. All back roads down into Kangaroo Valley. Pastry shop for lunch (best pies in the world). Up to Robinsons Pie Shop. Route home will be decided on the day.
The route down from Picton to the Valley may change if people have different ideas on the best route to take.

I'd love to, but it's a bit far for me just for a day ride.

oh now then - its only what.....six hours to penrith from wagga? a 2am start will see you there in time!!

Yep, thanks for the suggestion, but no I think I'll give it a miss.

On a brighter note, my wife started her new job this week, so next week we'll have some money. So if after we've paid some money off the credit cards etc, we might be able to go for a ride. Damn, no we won't, we're doing a quick trip to Melbourne (in the car).

If we are to ride through Penrith ... I'm just wondering if we'll need gas masks to cover the stench happening out there due to that stupid ridiculous Penrith council .. (whom I wouldn't be voting back in .. if I lived there)

nah its not that bad. but maybe im just used to it

are we still on for tomorrow? i will be there if it isn't raining in the morning [or if it doesn't look like its about to cascade down - if its too black i will have to give it a miss]

Just got back. Fine weather until we decided to leave, then the rain came. Only lightly though.

Myself, Baz and mr potato turned up. Potato turned round just before we got to penrith. Baz and i hit Warragamba and the rain didnt get any better and looked real dark in the direction we where headed. So we called it a day. Pulled into the garage and about 5 seconds later it came down and came down hard. Hope Baz didnt get to wet.

Was sorta a good morning ride.

Will cya on the one next month, if we dont do a ride before then.

WET ... it came down cats & dogs just as I hit the motorway, and at 90k/hr that wasn't too pleasant, got home drenched, had a shower and wouldn't ya know it, sunshine.
Oh well .. theres always the next one.

Yes the weather can be cruel. My bike will probably be ready to pick up tomorrow and it's absolutely pouring here. Has'nt stopped all day. I know,,, I should ride it home, but it's all new and shiny .lol.

oddly after i left, it poured al the way to parramatta and then stopped, and the sun was out in the city - and it was hot too

I'd love it to rain here. I'd even go for a ride in it, just to remember what it's like.
