Help Needed Welding
Okay I need some serious help
MY partner has a CB400 which we want to fit a Givi top box too. This is however the problem. Givi do not make one for this model bike. There is a set of bars that would half fit but would need some adjustment to fit the CB400. I have the plate and the box.
The project would need to have the actual mounting plate cut from the frames and re welded back into position so that the angles are all correct. Is there anyone in the Sydney area that is comfortable welding and that could help me out at all.

Re: Help Needed Welding
Ex boilermaker here but not in Syd.
If you can do the cutting and make up a jig with the set angles you need (use stiff wire) it wont take an engineering place long to knock it up. Even if they just tack it together for you to put on the bike to check before doing the final welds.
The tubing is very thin and will be prone to cracking at the welds so you'll need to keep an eye on it. Brasing (less heat) may be better but the joins will need to be a good fit.
