I have seen the light
I have been a Bandit owner now for about 6 months and love the bike and have just now joined your forum.( long term bike was a yamaha FZ1). I'm 54 and retired a couple of years ago
and despite always having big 4cyl jap bikes I was tempted and wandered in the valley of darkness for several years ( often above the posted speed limit )
on 3 cyl triumphs and a big twin Harley ( A mate said you have to have 1 once in your life). But I have seen the light and am saved since returning to the big 4 jap bike.
I'm more of a tourer than boy racer now and bought a slightly used 08 Bandit with the Givi panniers and a whole lotta extras and headed to Kunanurra and Darwin with some mates
from SE QLD.
The bike was brilliant on a long trip, comfortable at reasonable speeds ,good fuel economy and water proof luggage. (The Heal tech tuner and gear indicator is a must in my humble opinion)
I'm not much of a mechanic so I've already picked up some good info and look forward to sharing info with the other members. To be honest I will probably benefit more contribute.
Banditboy ( can't believe this user name wasn't taken )
that emotion thing ..........did someone get a photo of me going into the last corner

Welcome banditboy.
"Seeing the light" riding a 07 - 08 S Bandit is a bit of a oxymoron.
The p!ss poor stock headlight on these models is a often discussed topic here. Hows yours?

I wish we could make that a manditory part of the sign up process. Its pretty poor form by anyone who joins and doesn't have the basics covered. Why the big secret?
Not specifically directed at the OP
