Looks to be a constant diameter pipe and and old fashioned 4 -1 design likely to lead to the classic mid-range hole...I think I paid around $600 for the Arrows delivered from Italy.

Just my 2c.

I looked at the sandy spares headers, and they got a mixed review from people on the UK Bandit forum. The Delkevic headers were put in very high regard by all who reviewed them, and were only AU$375 delivered from the US. The arrow headers looked good, but they don't make them for a 1200.

I finished up with a full Holeshot system. I only wanted the stepped headers, but you had to already have bought a holeshot can because DW didn't want all his tuning research wasted with some other manufacturer's name on the end of the exhaust. What a princess. Now according to the website, very annoyingly, you can buy just the headers. Times must be tough. I'm really happy with the headers, but not happy at all with the end can. Crap sound and finish. Just sold my old Delkevic can this morning, very sad.

The holeshot 4-2-1 headers for the 1250 look trick and probably go just as well. Remember that you'll have to pay the paypal fees as well if you want to buy anything from them.

I was thinking along the same lines. I'd like to see a dyno chart before laying out the cash.

Big problem with the Holeshot headers is that they are one piece and because of the bulk they cost a fortune to freight out...Dale mentioned something like $400-500. Ouch!

I ordered a few extra small things with the full exhaust order. The total postage was $167.60 for USPS air mail insured. It was in Oz in a week (then 2 weeks and $210 more for customs).

One of the extras was "Bill's how to CD". I highly recomend getting a copy. It mainly covers mk2 1200s but there is a maintenance section on 1250s as well.

Hey Rolls,

I`m guessing you spent over $1000,because if you spend that much or more you have to pay inport tax.

I`ve been a bit of a tight arse with some stuff i`ve bought OS for that reason, and ended up doing mulitple buys to avoid this tax. Only some things i buy,not all, cause it can cost more with post from certain people you deal with who like to load up freight costs to profit.

So i get on the Holeshot site a bit,and i`ll be buggered if i can find his headers alone to buy, what sections it under? I can only find his end can,and not the headers, obviously i`m as thick as s*#t!

Yes it was over $1K, about US$1400 (@aus$1.10!). Got caught that time, but have been lucky with other big imports in the last 18 months. My name is probably on a watch list now.

Buckets more torque and power. I put in a GSXR750 intake cam at the same time with a stage2 jet kit (airbox, not pods). I was worried about losing midrange with the cam, but I'm more than happy with the low and midrange now. Dale Walker's base settings he suggested with the jet kit were a fair bit out, so it took a bit of time to tune it. Now running with 152.5 main, 4th clip + shim on the needle, 17.5 pilot with 4 turns out on the mixture.

I don't think I'll get the bike dyno'ed, but from other people's dyno figures I should have somewhere around 120 - 125 RWHP and 82 - 86 Ftlb torque. The workmanship was spot on as well.

If anyone's interested I spotted this Vance & Hines system, second hand in Canada. Suit 96 - 06.
