Holeshot TFI mod in Pictures For GSX1250FA
My Holeshot kit arrived this morning and feeling brave I dived straight in.
Step 1 Remove Fuel tank
Step 2 remove Air box lid
Step 3 Drill Hole in Lid
Step 4 Remove Old filter and replace K&N and Lid
Step 5 Locate Fuel Injectors and Fit TFI connectors there is no order to fitting the TFI kit only ensure that the right injector is replace in the same location
Step 6 Locate and Install O2 sensor bypass behind left hand side panel
Step 7 Locate and Install Pair Bung
note that the GSX pair valve is located under the fuel tank and not behind the right hand side panel.
Refit Fuel tank and panels and enjoy.
I took the bike for a brief test run out to wisemans ferry, as yet I have not set Dales setting's into the box but am using the standard setting's from DoBeck for the 1250.
The bike seems to breath so much better in fact there is a nice sound coming from the intake on acceleration. The engine seems to be smoother at all rev's and the increase in acceleration is very noticeable. On deceleration there is no more snap crackle and pop but a nice deep BUURRRRRRRRR exhaust note.

Now you have lost your TFI virginity, remove the secondaries, open up the airbox with a few more holes and set the Dobeck to the Stage II settings. It lights the bike right up, and the best thing I have found is that my fuel consumption is pretty much unaffected. It's free extra horsepower now.

Not sure is i have the mechanical smarts to be able to do that. However if anyone fancies earning themselves a case of beer........

Even just on the stage 1 settings it's gonna go better than Dobecks recommendation.
Don't be shy, if you can take the tank off & do that, you can remove the throttle bodies & rip out the nastie secondaries!
You'll love the results, the thing will come alive.................

Gus I think you should change your avatar to an Eagle.. Looked at the hole saw and measured it too and yes it is 8 mm larger than 2" as stated. In fact it is 60mm.

Cluck cluck cluck hahahahahaha. Actually I might give it a go if I can find a good manual to work from.
Dale has kindly sent me his setting for stage 1 and stage II but I have to say loving the bike and the sound just with stage I at the moment. Perhaps the stage II mod can be a project whilst I am convalescing in a few weeks time
