SBA Calendar 2012
First topic message reminder :
Hello Members,
Our esteemed leader Cameron has hit on the idea of a Suzuki Bandits Australia 2012 calendar.
The way it will work is;
If enough people upload pix of their Bandits and GSX1250/650 we will have a discussion at some point about which 12 make it onto our very own calendar.
Any pic. Any where. Any how is eligible.
That’s the theory. I guess we’ll have to see what the production costs are but feel free in the meantime to post a pic (any number) of your bike in this thread.
No need to upload full resolution size here, but you will probably need access to a decent resolution pic if yours is chosen.
Note: Any pic in this thread may be used. If you have a pic that you don’t want used post it in another thread as we’d still like to see your ride.

Not at all I have other pictures, some with Emma along the lines of Ewok's avatar, but I value my health and safety too much to post them.

just to be annoying - you've cut off the front tire on both these shots (even if it is only very slightly in the 2nd).

Nothing wrong with your owl shots Gus. Maybe train them to feed of the Bandit seat and combine them

Re: SBA Calendar 2012
Well IMO so far I'm going for Reardo's bike pic, the bike is obsured by shadow ( the side) but you just cannot beat that scenery.
Recycled is at number 2, because I've always had a soft spot for vintage photography.

Re: SBA Calendar 2012
Just going back to the original idea (no offence Gus! ) - I still think the calendar idea is a good one and we shoudn't lose sight of it - so I reckon Cameron should continue to collect pics from all of us with a view of putting fwd a final 12 in about late Oct. That gives us plenty of time to submit the pics. To make the calendar balanced there might be a few categories. With a final 12, the categories might be something like (and please feel free to challenge):
- best 4 with scenery
- best 2 bikes only
- best 5 from forum rides (ie we need some people in these !!!)
- best 1 other (so special it gets in!!)
I'd pay up to $45 for the calendar (it costs $25 to buy a color one from the shops if you want trains, fighter planes, dogs, sceneray, etc).

I think there has to be at least one of each model a 1200, 1250 faired, 1250 naked, new GSXs and maybe a street fighter.
And BTW, there isn't a chance on earth I'd pay 45 bucks for a calender. My 2 cents, whole thing in a pdf and all members get one to print out.

It looks like you don't have to pay that much, here is just one possible service.

Im collecting all the decent photos and saving them on my computer. Later in the year ill start a new thread and post them all up and we can see what the 12 best ones are. I do like your categories. And i do agree we need some photos with people in them. On future rides, ill be bringing my camera out.
Pete: good job. i havnt started looking at companies to print them yet.

Re: SBA Calendar 2012
as a fellow naked purple owner, i take alot of time looking at your photos gus. im very impressed. and depressed...at the fact i dont ride mine much. But i must say, i am very very very tempted to polish my wheels..they look so much better not black. Because the colour of the bike is so dark, it really makes a difference. Hmmm...maybe one day

Nice bike and nice pics. Judging by the tree in the second shot the wind would hold the bike up if the sidestand failed

Re: SBA Calendar 2012
Yep. I really shows why they call in "windy Wellington". It was blowing a bit today and making the planes land a bit sideways at the airport. The Bandit is good in the wind. Even fully bagged up, 100 km/hr gales don't budge it an inch.
