No just a rat run between Glenaladale and Fernbank. Sort of between Stratford and Bairnsdale Gus.

Another great 2WA production, shame about whatever was rattling, spoiled the sound of the big 1250.
$1.60 tut tut, didn't you learn your lesson

The ext mic was inside my seat bag but had come off it's little clip. I think it was rattling against a plastic bag. That section of road was rough.
Yes $1.60 makes me a selective slow learner

Now now recycled. I recall someone being close to the $1.60 mark himself, about 20k or so out of Uralla. Or was that another?

Great ride, however, you need to do something about the rego label.

Must have been another rider with a yellow jacket on a red bike.
I wasn't criticising, I just thought he would be a bit shy after his recent um... lecture.
The fastest I've had my bike up to is "Go directly to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200"
Reardo Straight; is that an attempt at an oxymoron?

Yeah that was about 10 weeks ago now so I reckon I'm looking ok for that "incident".
Allegedly I was +55 Although never admitting to any speed I would have accepted that but now feel he never had a speed locked on me.
Rattling off the fines over the bonnet of the car I was starting to panic a bit not to mention the impoundment and associated costs there and the period of walking involved.
Just to fix me up though I was done for 64 in a 60, 10 days later via a "safety" camera in my work Hilux.
Serves me right for keeping up with traffic eh? I have requested the photo of that as I had other vehicles around me but I know the Hilux with the tyers I have on is spot on for speedo reading.

Re: A Straight For Reardo
that extra 4kph faster makes you soooo much more unsafe, especially when the traffic around you is already flowing at a speed higher than the posted speed limit anyway.
spose we can't blame the coppers too much tho, as they are just doing the job of enforcement and compliance with rules that some shinny arse makes based on scientific expertise
Urrhhh, why do I get so worked up about something I can't change

Well that's the irony isn't it? A copper used his power of discretion and chose a bollocking and warning for a much higher speed. A computer attached to the Gvt bottom line detected the dangerous potential of keeping up with traffic and pinged me $150 + 1 point for 3 years.

Flap flap flap
Hows this then?
Shouldnt see it flapping now and it shouldn't flap as much either.
The real bonus is the weight distribution has moved forward for better handling
I know the garage floor is dirty

Re: A Straight For Reardo
We had 2x cows on a road the other week when I went for a ride with Buellord. I managed to brake in time to miss this big black heifer. It would have made an absolute mess of the bike and me. It's the 2nd time i have seen a cow jump a cyclone ringlock fence, absolutely amazing to watch. I told Buellord he is the animal whisperer, last ride it was a bloody emu that jumped out just behind him and in front of me.
BTW WA doesn't have rego stickers anymore... and they say we are backwards and behind the times. Sure enough you guys will be in the same boat when some wanker in the transport department figures out they'll save 2 million dollars per annum by not printing rego stickers.

Emu in Adelaide Hills between Cudlee Creek and Inglewood. Just about to nail 2 cars and the mobile chicane (truck) in front of the queue when truck brakes hard and the queue compresses and I notice the reason - one of Australia's second dumbest species. It shares our Coat of Arms with the dumbest.reddog wrote:We had 2x cows on a road the other week when I went for a ride with Buellord. I managed to brake in time to miss this big black heifer. South Oz apparently headed in the same direction.reddog wrote:

And I suppose your rego cost went down accordingly. They probably had to put it up to cover the cost of implementing the new system.

Have heard on the grapevine that the rego stickers may be coming back. Duno how tru it is or what the reason if it is tru but heard it.
Rego stickers have some plus' and some minus' I spose depending on what you sue the sticker/holder combo for
