Sound......

As i was about to paint my can i noticed the internal pipe did not line up. Unable to bend it back i just cut 20mm off one end so it would and
forgot about it.Today between showers i went for a quick spin. It was always a bit quiet ,now it has a real bark to it. I could not work out why
it was so much louder untill i remembered the 20mm i cut off.Luckily its about right and i'm glad i didnt cut of any more.
Its a remarkable difference ,so its quite possible to "tune" your can if you have the same set up.

this mixes with reardo's post on exhaust systems and how what you do to it not only effects the noise output, but the way the engine behaves WRT HP, tork, fuel consumption etc etc etc.
