Newby from Melbourne
Hi All,
Am Picking up my new gsx1250fa tommorow (9.30am) from Peter Stevenson on Elizabeth St. Melboourne and super excited.
My Wife just loves me staying up late looking at all the goodies on this site...
mmmm, new exhaust is first on list. Beowulf or R77, that is the question..
Good way to finish the year.
Cheers,
Mars

Re: Newby from Melbourne
No sleep for you tonight
Picked up a new 1200 bandit once from Brisbane. Caught train down and arranged for Tony Armstrong to pick me up out side a certain pub
Rang him when i got there and he said he was running late be about an hour. Not knowing the area i just strutted up and down outside the pub
dressed in my leathers. After about 45 mins i was conscious of the strange looks i was getting from inside.Never seen leathers before i thought
as i read a notice on the pub wall BARRY MANILOW TONIGHT.Yep gay pub.

Welcome to the do it all bike
+1 for Beowulf (shortie) but that shouldn't be the first mod. Radiator protection should be first priority.

Welcome... Warpspeed radiator guard from Rated-R on Ebay is the go. As is an Arrow silencer, or full system. I have the arrow headers with a Titanium Yoshi and it sounds very nice, but not obnoxious

Re: Newby from Melbourne
Cheers. Good advise and funny stuff
Took my leathers out last night and “liberally” applied beeswax leather revival onto them (half a tin). Must of got carried away cause when I woke & in the light, they were really bright!
Not until I got to the bank that someone actually commented to my face. Sure, I heard snickers prior but it wasn’t till the bank teller asked “ Sir… why are your leathers so shiny?” that It clicked.
Anyway, glad I could be of such entertainment to the all staff/customers at Peter Stevens, Melbourne who were initially puzzled by the novel luminous attraction. This turned to laughter with popular phrases like “you look like a lubed up condom or Garry Glitter” but twas “Shiny Man” which seem to the most popular.
Bike performed amazing, that power out of corners is intoxicating and the torque meant I rode up and down Mt Donna Buang in 4th. That’s a lot of bike and one happy owner.
.o0 Off to dirty up my leathers
Cheers,
Mars

Drop a tooth on the front and smile will get bigger.. while tyre life diminishes quickly.
I laughed at the lubed up comment haha!
Modding bikes can become relatively expensive and it never really seems to end
