If you just want the look of Carbon Fibre you could try this mob http://www.mad-coatings.com/
Could be cheaper, and they could do the whole bike

I also bought this. I seem to get a lot of crap flicked up from the front wheel, so I hope this stops it. And it's carbon so who cares.
It arrived from Spain in 8 days and is good quality.

Re: You can never have enough carbon fibre.
Got one of those on mine but not Carbon F. Wouldn't be without, they work well and i dont seem to notice it.
What i have noticed is that everybody drills though the guard to fit it as the instructions say.
What you get left with is two bloody awful screws which look way out of place.
Much better way is use a good BLACK SILCONE and stick it on. You probably know this but it might help someone. Mine been on for two years no problems.

I notice in Saikhan's link they actually recommend Silicon, I think Sikaflex or one of the other purpose-made automotive adhesives would be even better. I notice a lot of the rear of my Commodore Wagon is glued together.

There you go ,had a good idea but apparently carnt read.
I know the cheap one i got they actually gave you two little SELF TAPPING SCREWS.
Saw a brand new Bandit going out where they had drilled the guard .I shudder at the thought, made it look like a mud flap.
P.S. With the number of new posts I've been putting up lately i'm relieved to see the number of new members hasn't Dropped over the last 2 months.

I actually thought for carbon fibre it didn't sound TOO bad.
We made ocean going stand up paddle boards out of the stuff which were 16 foot long. They looked fantastic in the carbon but
the black attracted to much heat, so we, hate to say it, PAINTED THEM WHITE.

I used Sikaflex to attach it, I doubt it's ever coming off, it's good stuff. And I guess I'll remain regular.

Re: You can never have enough carbon fibre.
Hi, speaking of CF, have you noticed how the prices on the Powerbronze Australia site are about double that of the UK site? I am really keen on the sidecovers but will probably have to get them delivered to a UK address and then forwarded out.
BTW recently got a Powerbronze CF chain guard from a UK retailer (end of line) for 45 pounds incl postage, so was pretty happy with that.
Fake CF would just make me feel dirty(ier).

*looks at his fake CF hugger/chain guard sitting on the floor*
I don't know, I don't mind the look of my hugger, sure it could be a bit more flat in colour, but it looked good on the bike. I really should give it a good clean before I get the bike back....whenever that will be
