Michelin Road 4 opinions
Just picked up my Bandit this week, and it has near new Roads on it.
Don't know the bike well enough yet to measure performance, but I a bit surprised by the noise they produce... almost sounds like a mechanical issue, until the road surface changes.
Does anyone else have any opinion on this? Been so used to GT2's and they are generally pretty quiet.

Hi, had Road 5 GT & now Road 6 GT on my old girl. Make various noises depending on, road surface , amount of lean through corners and speed. The 6 makes more noises than the 5. Did sound mechanical till I got my head around it.

Mine are 5's..... so glad to hear someone else thinks its a mechanical noise....not sure i will be able to get used to it....part of me makes me notice things that
aren't quite right......has helped me catch things before they got ugly, but in this case, its just plain annoying.
Will go to GT2's next i reckon, and right angle valve stems while i am at it

Re: Michelin Road 4 opinions
There have been lots of discussion re: tyres, plenty of opinions offered, especially re: Pilot Roads, riders seem to either love them, or loathe them. (I'm in the later grooup)
As for right angle valves, a very big yes from me, I've had them since my first tyre change back in 2012 and wouldn't be without them. Just make sure they are the "cast type" right angle bends, not the "bent" ones, which have been known to split in the past.

Yeah.....so far I am not sold on the feedback from the 5.... but, again, it's a totally different bike to what I was on before. I will run them to death and then go GT2's.... maybe the A spec which is for heavier bikes....
Right angle valves, I believe, increase tyre life, mainly because it is easier to do the job....

My 5&6 are GT, heavy load tyres. Used to run different front / rear pressure, got lazy, just run 40 psi all the time now .23,000km from the 5's.

Re: Michelin Road 4 opinions
Well, after really struggling with having to wrestle the bike into some corners, and a real vague feeling at lean, i looked at the front tyre, and yeah, it was a bit out of shape.
The thing that made me a little scared, was the build date, its a Road 4, 4215 build date...... yup, 42nd week of 2015... i know the previous owner only putted around, but damn.
So, dropped a set of Angel GT2 A specs on it today....damn near tossed it on its side, even though i backed off seriously on input....wow, she wants to corner now...
Awesome.....
So, i have a less than 800k old Road 5 2ct+ for sale...will put that up soon on here....its in good order and has chicken strips you could run around on.....2022 build
