Hi all out there..

Just became a proud and relieved, after being without a bike for a few weeks, (we all feel that pain), owner of a very tidy 07 GSF1250S.

Bought it from the original owner, 36k kms on it, red and lovely to ride.

Been a SV1000S owner for almost 20 years, assembled it from the crate myself, and slapped 354000kms on it, without cracking the engine open
apart from clutch and stator/rotor....but the ECU and loom are toast, and, i reckon it had paid its dues.....

If there's anyone out there that needs spares for an SV, i am parting her out.

I am looking forward to many long years of service from the Bandit, and being an active member here.
Anything i can learn about the bike, how to improve it...power, suspension....all that...bring it on...

Thanks for letting me join oh hallowed administrators....  New Gold Coast member 1f600

Have a great day everyone

Welcome,

I'm a big fan of holeshot.com - shipping/exchange rate is rough, but I've had nothing but good news throughout my 2 bandits and their mods (fuel tuner, and mods to support, PAIR removal kit, gear indicator, etc) best of luck, hope to see you around.

Hi & welcome
My 07 is mechanically is stock, apart from Yoshi pipe, 84,000 km, still lifts the front without popping the clutch, oil change about 7-10 K km semi synth, just keeps powering on. Give it a few months and enjoy as is and if you feel the need for more, do it then.
Have an 08 16 K km, with factory exhaust, so quiet, too quiet.
Enjoy the new ride.

Cheers for that GSX1100G...

Yeah, i am not going to get too silly yet.
Though, last night i dropped the front end out and changed the, reasonably clean, fluid, and put in Factory Line Motul 10w, and brought the level up to 130mm from the
oem 144.... she was a bit saggy, amd felt like it was pushing the front, and running wide through bends.....tracking beautifully today by comparison, and feels balanced
front and rear. Will probably get single rate springs in there soon-ish

Do you run the suggested 10W40, or 10W50 ?

Hi,
I run Penrite MC 10w50, it has higher ratings across the board. Strange as it seems, it may change the way that the Bandit clutch rattle sounds.
Sparesbox usually has good deals.

Yeah, i have used Motul 5100 since the first oil change on my old SV, and considering the mileage it got, and it was electrics that killed it, i will probably
go that way again...... used to run 10w40 until it got 200k kms on it, then moved to 10w50 to just support her in her older age.

Would like to hear others ideas on using 10w50...the few Bandit opinions i have seen elsewhere suggesting 10w40, were probably in cooler climates than ours.
