Thanks Masher.
I'll be seeing if I can get the mic cable extended or a plug fitter for a different mic all together soon.
As it is its about 600mm to short for some of my shooting.
Nothing special in the "fancy editing" but I enjoy the post production almost as much as riding.
I'd be happy to help anyone who wants to put together some videos or DVD.

Maybe we can produce a forum DVD one day? Cool

Can you guys recommend a video editor ?

I made a clip today on OPH, its a little over 13 mins long at a modest resolution of 320x240 @ 30 fr/sec and its a whopping 439MB AVI file.

Thats par for .AVI Baz.
I run Pinnacle Studio 14 with a couple of pro addons. I upload at 1280 X 720p MP4 at 4600 bits. My last 8 + minutes uploaded to vimeo.com was 290mb

You might be able to find a AVI to MP4 converter but I think in the long run you'll be better off with a commercial editor.

I recommend Chris, he's good! Laughing

I've used Avidemux which is free, to do my videos, only problem is I haven't found if it will do transition effects.
https://www.youtube.com/user/pgl058

It will convert AVI to MP4 no problem, which is what I did, several online tutorials will get you started.

Peter you have made me blush Embarassed
Whatever editor you choose make sure you can adjust the quality either by bit rate or some other setting (small, medium, large etc)
I have played around with bike video for a few years using cheap or free cameras, mounts and software and I can say you get what you pay for. So if you're happy with the raw footage out of the camera shell out a bit (less than $140) on an editor and save yourselves a lot of frustration and dissapointment.

I'm happy to run anyones videos through and see what we come up with if you want to post them to me on CD or DVD let me know.

Does Pinnacle 14 have the facility to change pink hues to something cool like black or gray, or is that in the update. Very Happy

Yes there are some pre set colour options and I think there is a full range colour slider too.
