I bought this , has dodgy 2nd gear (AS THEY DO ) $2000 .Winter fix 

That smacking it into 2nd at red-line from the lights, strikes again,

Apparently you can access the gear box  from the sump  so i don't have to remove the head .

THat actually would work . I took bike for a ride and realised the   guy before me didnt have much of an idea. Every thing suspension wise was at max . .ROCK HARD . Un-rideable .Got 1kls on dirt and gave up and came home and adjusted every thing to middle setting , thats better.
Now that i can at least get to a sealed road to accelerate in 2 nd ,yes , bang it jumps out of gear . (as expected ) . Gearbox also feels notchy so probably a bent selector fork as well . Trying to miss 2nd ,on a revy bike, im not used to, i have no idea what gear im in . At one stage i think gearbox has jammed only to realised  im looking for 7th .lol No second is unbearable so its home with a plan to take motor out .
2 hours later its on the work bench  ,with sump off . Spotless . , nice .. I see the gearbox way further up . A long way UP .
90 mins later  the  gears in my hand  and ordered .
Rocker cover still in place as is the head .
