April Fools Day

Our 1st of April plan - arrive in Tas .
Didn't qualify for anything from anyone

The announcement of the payment to the unemployed and pensioners should have been postponed till April 1.

No windfall here, just waiting on the bill(tax hike) for the coin the Government is feverishly throwing around.

Nobody could top 2020's crap to  compete on April fools day with anything.

Don't forget there is a second $750 coming in July as well .............I also have come to the conclusion that retirees are more adapted to amusing themselves to fill up their day than those who are used to going to work for a living .

Yep , there are unfortunately some who fall through the cracks , both well off , and not so well off .

I just now got off the phone to my mother who is 76, she asked me how can she contact the Prime Minister to tell him that she doesn't need the "stimulus" money that he's giving her, and that she would like to give it back as she doesn't need it.........I'm not sure there are many like her left.

She's an absolute beauty.
Tell her -" that when we are all able to go out again, get together with her friends and shout them lunch or dinner with it. Maybe do it a couple of times."

The intention of a stimulus payment is for people to spend the "pocket money" that the gov gives them.

Your mother needs to spend this money on something absolutely and of no use to her to meet the government plan.

Maybe a new TV or a duplicate of something she already owns.

I bought a new cordless drill. My existing one is still performing OK but is 8 years old.

This unfortunately isn't the ideal outcome as even though it supports local distribution companies, the drill is made in China.

I suggest a change in GST to say 20% could fix things up pretty quickly

Nah mate that was the one. The new bike is fine. It turned out to be a a cheaper way trade up, not that it was intended to be like that. 

I try to avoid riding through Melbourne at the best of times, unfortunately sometimes you can't
