G'Day from North Brissy.
Howdy. Just got a 2008 Bandit. Didn't think I'd get another big bike after selling the fj1200.
I like my older bikes. 2 strokes in particular but needed something to pile on the kilometres without any worries.
Forgot how good it was to just press a button then on your way instead of kick kick kick f#ck this heap.I'll put some pics up of some bikes if any ones interested. Thanks.

A Sunny Nth QLS Welcome to you ken007.
I like my older bikes too. I've got an old 96 KLX 650 so I know what you mean when you say the kick kick kick thing.

Re: G'Day from North Brissy.
Starting to get a feel for this bike. Different animal to the FJ1200. Makes it power much lower than the fj . The Fj really came to life from about 6000rpm or so.
To me the bandit it what a lot of fj riders want from their fj. They spend a fair bit upgrading the suspension, brakes and rear wheel to a 17inch.
The fj vibrates a fair bit and your always chasing a 6th gear. A specialist fj shop in the states is experimenting with FI but would cost a lot.
I liked my ageing fj, probably a bit quicker too than the bandit but I'd never go back to one. I found the bandit easier to move around the shed and feels a fair bit smaller on the road. Just my 2 bobs worth. I'm really enjoying this bike.

Welcome aboard. I always had a hankering for an FJ myself but never got there. You’ll love the no fuss nature of the Bandit.

Thanks Paul, I love my bikes. Never thought I'd get another suzuki but now have two. The slabbie is the most uncomfortable bike i have but good for 20 minute rides. Once my feet remember where the pegs are and my gut centralises over the tank , all is good.
I find the R1 a lot more comfy.

Hi Ken007, if the r1 is more comfortable, wow, it must be a painful one! I have got a naked 08/9 bandit, and live in Ashgrove, so maybe see you around! You've got a beautiful collection of bikes. I'm jealous! Cheers for the photos. Ben

G'day Ken007 .. what's the old Trumpy you've got .. I've still got my old 1972 650 Tiger 110 .. that I bought in 74 and rode it till it clicked over 100,000 miles .. it's in pieces and I'll restore it in the next couple of years.
Ride safe you guys.
