Sold - Beowulf Radiator Guard - Bandit 1250
Hey Guys,
I have a Beowulf UK Radiator Guard for sale. Long story short my 1250 is fitted with a 600 radiator which is about 30mm smaller. Doesnt fit, so I am looking to pass it on.
Looking for $50 plus postage costs or can pick up. Located Penrith NSW.
Thanks, Tommo

Hey Steve61,
It would be $15 for standard with tracking (3-4 days) or $20 for express with tracking (1-2 days).
Thanks, Tommo

Sorry Tommo for saying this but that's 50% blockage of air getting to the rad . If you have a 600 rad which is smaller I wouldn't be buying another one to suit the smaller rad .

Gus , ive followed you for quite awhile and normally you are pretty clued up , but that has to be the dumbest comment ive seen , air is not a solid , it will move about the fins on the protector with almost zero restriction , all that is going to stop is rocks and sticks , you would need a wind tunnel to show any minimal air flow difference at all , and what minuscule , difference if any would be negligible god help you if you have to ever use an oxygen mask , your going to be sure your going to die

Then I retract the Sorry ,I some how new I was going to get that response . . . Its really all about the $50 isn't it .
I wear a mask at work , I have to replace the filters because it gets hard to breath .You know why ,because the FILTER BLOCKS THE AIR .
Why do you think RADS are so big , yours has been replaced because it looks big (and is ) ,its to suck more air .
Don't tell me that cover will not block air flow , its just not plausible and in fact laughable .

I think I'm with Gus on this one Steve.
My opinion is based on observations not my knowledge of science.
My initial thoughts are based on the Kenworth, their engineers spent a lot of time effort and money developing a adjustable louvre grill in front of the radiator to allow the trucks engine to get to full temperature in cold climates
I've also seen engine temperatures rise after installation of driving lights

Doesn't matter who is right or wrong ,just a difference of opinion . Im convinced a whale is a fish, and a Koala is a bear no matter what anyone says .

From my experience. My radiator screen on my GSX was also a Beowulf. It never caused the bike to overheat, even when the water pump wasn't functioning properly while going across the Nullarbor.
It did however cause rubbing on the tubes which in turn caused a leak. This however can be avoided with a little modification

Hi Tommo, is the radiator guard still for sale? I had an off at a roundabout (don't ask) and bent my Beowulf radiator guard, and a nice straight replacement would be good.
FWIW, I've had no issues with the guard in 4 years, and it definitely saved my radiator and paid for itself many times over in doing so.
Cheers.
