Looking to buy a sidecar to attach to my 2007 bandit, I live in southern suburbs of Adelaide in South Australia. Don't want to build another one, want one I just have to attach to my bike. Budget of $2500 anyone got one lying around they don't need.

I think the last full rig for sale on here was  about $14,000 ( https://nswbandits.forumotion.net/t3841-sidecar-found ).  Take off the price of the bike there is still a lot of cash involved.  I paid $20k for mine 10 years ago, but that included a large trailer that was wide enough to transport the rig and the leading link front end (which was $2,500 by itself).

Good luck in finding a chair, but personally I doubt you'll even get the rego engineering certificate for that budget.  Chook should be able to give you some pointers on what you need for SA rego.  From personal experience in NSW, ACT, and TAS you need full engineering compliance to "just attach" a sidecar.

If you've had sidecars previously you will know what you're in for, however if there's any questions I might be able to help you with just ask.

Thank you for your response, about 6 months before I bought the bike there were 3 or 4 sidecars advertised an SA for around my budget but none now of course. You can buy a brand new complete sidecar  for about $4500 from India apparently.  Will do some more searching, I may get lucky, I am not in a hurry.
