Bloody Gumtree
Am I being unreasonable .
I advertise a 30+ year old bike with a pic and used condition statement and get a reply, " is the paint original ", I felt like saying Yes but its down to primer .
Instead I took the add down , i'm over Gumtree . Anyone want to swap there bandit for a "feral cat with mange and $50 "

Re: Bloody Gumtree
I know how you feel Gus. Last year, when we were moving house, I advertised some furniture free to a good home on the local buy, swap and sell. One girl asked if I could delivery it (also for free) - 140km round trip.
Fuck off!

If the question was from a restoration point of view its reasonable I'd say Gus.gus wrote:Am I being unreasonable .

In other words they were probably asking if its been resprayed.
Re: Bloody Gumtree
I probably over-reacted due to a previous offer of a part trade on a kayak ,a discount ,and $500 dollars worth of spares thrown in .

Re: Bloody Gumtree
Personally I like gumtree for selling
Sold my VX800 to the 2nd person that rang after buying my Bandit
RecnRece sold a 1991 Subaru Liberty Ii'd bought for $600 6 years ago for a 1st dar for my son, it ended up also being my daughter's 1st car and a second family run about as well, , 24 hours on gumtree, 15 ridiculous messages and sold fir $550 to the 1st person that actually rang
You do have to put up with some bullshit but worth it in my experience

Re: Bloody Gumtree
Patience is key. I was looking for a MX helmet and after several missed opportunities I rushed out and bought a red brand newie from Facebook (not gummies I know but principle is the same) that never sat quite right, now I'm regretting it as there are more options available that seem to not be selling.
I'm patiently waiting for a KLX 650 speedo dash and exhaust to come up so I can try and get mine registered . . .
