The plan is.....

Take a  $4000 900ss (2002) and ride anti -clockwise  from Cygnet ,Tasmania . Bike ,swag and myself .
Simple , leaving now .
Will up date on return .

Talk about heart rule the head . What was I thinking , its lunchtime ,HOT ,i'm on the most uncomfortable bike ever pretending i'm touring .
Within 30min i'm home looking at a change of bike  and decide to leave in the morning ,when its cooler on something more practical ..

Plus all the roads are melting, we're not use to this heat.  I decided to stay home and do some paving, think I got one paver per litre of water I drank.

If you're on the road on Saturday, a couple of my Military Bike Club are doing a run to the St Helens Bike and Car show, doing the loop from Launie, Scottsdale and back via St Marys.

What was the Temp?, 30?, 35?

Up to 35deg . I did a trip up the west coast a couple of weeks ago on the Bandit(k3) . This time I wanted to take something different .
The Aprilia gets the swag this time .

Those temperatures don't seem ridiculous for over here but I guess in Tassie it's bloody hot.

Madmax rode into Adelaide in 35+ yesterday and it seemed pretty to mild to what we've been having, I thought 40+ riding 4 hrs to meet Bryan and spanna was pretty bad until Byryan, Dave, Kaylah and I experienced the same temperatures between Streaky Bay and Ceduna with 60kmh cross winds and dust storms thrown in to spice it up a bit more

Believe me ,the sun in Tasmania BURNS .Don't know why ,its just different .

Direction changes .
Cygnet through Hobart (2 red lights
),up to Zeehan (a ghost town ) on towards Carina .
Turn left for 20kls of terrible dirt to stand on the beach looking for South Africa (couldn't see it ) ,but WOW ,stunning .
Back to tar on towards Reese Dam . 90kls of amazing road and view . I see 1 (one ) car ,(no motorbikes ), 1 snake  in the 90 kls .
Left at Tulla ,past Cradle Mt ,to Sheffield . Over the mountain to Mole Creek for a meal and beer .
Throw swag on ground  for free ,
and wake up with a rooster next to me doing its thing . 6am .
Up to the Great lakes and down to Bothwell .Still stunning but nearly all of Tas is . Actually see 3 bikes at a servo 
Back through Hobart past Bruny Island , Ocean is transparent with no wind . 20kls from home I pass Sponge Bob ,Darth Vader ,Ninja Man ,a T-Rex getting married , a fish catching a man and more . (scarecrow time ) 
Turn left down to Eggs And Bacon bay and i'm home .
Best trip ever .

Just you on a bike and the open road. Fantastic.

It was damn cold coming out of Adelaide on Monday morning, I was shivering! By mid afternoon In the middle of Victoria It was getting up close to 40. I found a park with a short garden hose and soaked my shirt under it. That's good for about an hour. Got to my friends place in Maryborough about an hour before the cool change and the following storm.

I get that

In SA the sun has a lot more sting than NSW or especially QLD, if they are right about the hole in the ozone layer down South it makes perfect sense
