It's been a wet year for riding in SA
I was given a rain gauge in October 2008 at the end of a 5 year drought, I've kept a record of our rain fall ever since, in the previous 7 years we had only recorded over 500 mm of rain once, 570 mm in 2010.
In 2016 I have taken 715 mm out of the gauge, 145 mm more than 2010 and about 260 mm above the average since I've been recording the rainfall.
Strangely enough, April 2016 was by far the driest April in the past 8 years and a number of months were pretty much average for the same period
I know compared to a lot of you, particularly those in the so called "Sunshine State" this isn't a lot of rain but for us it's been a very wet year

It did seem to be raining a lot more this year ..............at least the Myponga dam looked fairly full yesterday when I saw it

It looks worse as a total for the month than it was,
December only had 13 days that recorde rain
-Highest daily rainfall, 85.6 mm
-4 days that more than 2,5 mm was recorded
-4 of the 13 days less than 1 mm recorded

I reckon I rode to work in rain at least 25-30 times this year where the only rain that fell for the day was for about a hour in the morning, usually within a day or 2 of cleaning the bike

Up here in sunny Queensland we don't purchase those little plastic rain gauges, we make our own from 200litre drums.

I think it'd be easier if he just stopped washing his bike. Then all of Adelaide could enjoy some good weather.

haha, it spent more of 2016 filthy dirty than clean, got a wash yesterday then was parked at my mates house all night, yep, there was a shower there this morning and it's covered in spots again, still, at least that's better than road grime sprayed up everywhere
