Anyone heading down the Fleurieu take a bit of extra care, this popped up on the "SA Police News" facebook site this week

"Having commenced on 1 December, Operation Safe Hills will continue this weekend targeting speeding motorcyclists, so riders beware.

Already during the operation, Police detected a rider last week travelling at 149 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on the Goolwa Rd at Meadows. That rider will receive a visit from Police and be issued a licence disqualification and a considerable fine or court appearance.

Superintendent Bob Fauser, the Officer in Charge of Traffic Support Branch, said this may be a small price to pay compared to the risk to himself and other road users sharing the road if something unexpected occurred.

“Eleven motorcyclists have already died on our roads this year. If you are a motorcyclist don’t become the twelfth through your own irresponsible actions.” he said.

The operation will run until 30 April 2015."

I'm heading down to Strathalbyn shortly, I've got a wedding to go to at Macclesfield and will be staying at the Robin Hood in Strath, looks like I'll have to behave myself on the way there and then on the way home tomorrow  Crying or Very sad

It was a pretty sedate ride down through Clarendon & Meadows yesterday.

The Robin Hood is a great little traditional Pub. The Publicans are very welcoming, the Bandit has been tucked up safe and sound in a shed all night.

Taxi dropped me back here a bit after 1:00am, even after a shower, short walk and egg and bacon breakfast I'm still feeling a bit doey. The publican just said to turn pn the TV in the guest lounge and stay as long as I want.

$50 for a basic pub room and great hospitality, highly recommended
