New Bandit rider in Qld
Hi all I'm Batman181 and purchased my Metallic Grey 2010 Bandit with 14,500 klms on Monday afternoon. After riding a Hyosung 650C Aquilla this bike is like a Weapon of Mass Destruction. I live on the Gold Coast and commute to Brizzy daily for work and find this a very smooth, comfy and powerful ride. I'm looking forward to a few years of dependable riding from this amazing machine. I have about 40 years riding experience mainly on chook chasers in the bush and this is my 4th road bike. My first was a Hyosung 650 naked, then a fazer 600 (which I gave to my eldest son earlier this year) and then the Hyosung cruiser before this one.

Welcome to the forum Batman181. An early Xmas present eh? And yep, the old Bandit is exceptionally reliable (although the fuel pump may clog up or even fail at some point - but that's easily fixed).

Welcome aboard.
You'll be hard pressed to find a better suburban commuter than the torque monster 1250.
If that was a requirement of mine I'd still have my Bandit.
Its good points are brought out and its limitations hidden in that sort of work.

will probably be proven wrong but this is one of the most civilised forums I am a member of, loads of useful information and helpful people who hang around. All this and there are a heap of Australians, who would have known?
I am a bit like you and only recently got my bike (an FA) but loving it for what I do. Enjoy!

Gday batman and welcome to the forum from the other side of the island. Don't forget you are riding the old bike, I did when I first got the Bandit. 1000cc more than the old 250 saw me wheel stand outside of work

G'day Batman..... just a word of warning... the Bandit will inspire you to break the law.. its just a twist away and next thing you know you will be exceeding the speed limit very quickly.

Funny you should mention the wrist twist... the cars were driving very slow tonight, but then I looked down and $1.65 was looking back at me, then the cars sped up again
