some things just 'aint right!!

Some interesting stats I picked up from that clip:

200hp, 168 lb-ft, weighing in at 220kg
Oil cooled electric motor, water cooled electronics, air cooled batteries
Bonneville speeds (~350kph) - 32km range
Highway speeds (100 - 120kph) - 120 to 160 km range
With the larger batteries (adds 20kg) the range is extended to 240km
Cost US$38,800

Virtually no maintenance except looking after the chain, which by the way is the only noise it makes.

I didn't catch how long it takes to recharge, but it does have a re-gen function whereby if you roll off the throttle, it will use the road wheels to recharge the batteries, making the distance to empty a little longer.

In itself its probably going to be a rarity to see on the roads, however give it 10 or maybe less years and this could be the normal configuration for bikes.  Well I suppose you could get the sound track of v-twin and play it through your earbuds whilst cruising the Bonang on your electric scooter.....

Even the water pump maker is getting into the idea so you never know where electric bikes will go from here
