Hello West Island!
Hi there from Kiwiland,
Thanks for 'letting me in'
I hail from Ireland originally, have adopted New Zealand as my home almost 7 years ago now.
I have only been riding for a couple of years but love it. I have a 2104 GSX1250FA which I use for my 150km round trip daily commute and as many weekend fangs and longer trips as I can get time (and permission!) for. My most recent was just under 3000kms in 6 days on the road with a 1 day layover in the middle. I know Aussie is a much bigger place but in NZ, I believe thats a respectable distance
The GSX is a recent development. I had a 98 BMW F650 as my LAMS bike and have just recently moved up to Black Magic. Farkle wise I have a Skorpion muffler, oxford hot grips, a Scottoiler, Aux power outlet, Ventura headlight protector and a SHAD 47 litre top box on a Givi bracket. I also got the rider seat customised to raise it, widen it and firm it up significantly. Am considering bar risers as well. New brake and clutch cables?
Some of you may have been in NZ and know the kind of roads we have here. Some very fun twisties but we have some interesting surfaces and generally low speed limits.
There isnt a specialised Bandit/GSX forum here in NZ so I am really hoping to pick up some tips and advice about how to get the best out of this machine as its a huge investment for me and I intend to hang on to it for quite some time.
Looking forward to my time here. Cheers.
