My Grandson's First Motorbike Ride
I was in Minnesota last week, visiting family and friends, and brought my Grandson Omar home for a week to stay with us - he'll be flying back to MN next Saturday.
He's 11 now, and getting big enough to be introduced to lots of fun things that a stay at Grandpa and Gramma's place should include. He's had two days of horse riding lessons, and is doing really well.
A couple of videos are here, taken at the end of his first lesson with our local kid riding trainer. Today he took a long trail ride with her up in the mountains and did really well. He has an excellent sense of balance and takes instruction really well, according to her.
This morning marked another big first in his life, and in mine, his first ever motorbike ride. He turns out also to be a really good passenger, which is especially good for me, since I almost never ride two-up. We took about a 25 mile ride around the valley, and he says he can't wait to go again.
At the conclusion of the ride:
