I'd be interested in how you went.
I'd be dropping the rear pressure 10psi
Good luck and let us know.

you don't reckon there would be any ill effects dropping the rear pressure?
I wouldn't have a clue with bikes on a sticky drag strip

When you get to the track, try and get there a bit earlier and ask around for a big hairy fella by the name of Mick, who also just happens to be one of the track commentary team. He is one of the parties responsible for organising the highly succesfull bike only nights and a very passionate motorcycle drag racer. He may be able to give you a few pointers before you start.
He also happens to be my older brother.
Enjoy and have fun.

Re: Anyone keen for Sydney drags Wednesday night?
i had my tyre pressures at about 36 front 38 rear. no need to drop them unless you are getting wheel spin. Letting them down just increased drag. Start high, and let em down only if you are wheel spinning off the line.
I ended up running 11.4 the last time i went out there.
AND i am 65kg thanks.

Re: Anyone keen for Sydney drags Wednesday night?
got 4 runs last night, was a lot harder than it looks
ended up 12.35secs @114.39mph (184 K/PH)
60' 2.14 secs
I left pressures standard. It is very hard to get off the line quickly and onto full throttle asap, for me anyway
Will definitely be back in soon, there were lots of Suzuki's but only one lone Bandit
If you haven't been you should give it a crack, you wont hurt the bike or bank balance and is a lot of fun.

Re: Anyone keen for Sydney drags Wednesday night?
Thats a respectable top speed.
I'd imaging the hardest part of a Bandit launch is the very short first gear. By the time you have your feet settled you would be looking for second.

I've never done the drag scene but it sounds ike it was a whole lot of fun.
What did you need and what class were you in? full leathers? type of gloves? etcdoes the bike need to be inspected for safety before the race?
