Looks like a weapon! It will be interesting to hear your report. There are probably a lot of us who have never ridden a 1 litre sports bike.

Nice colour and original pipes.
Ive only punted one once and I reckon I'd fit a lot better now.
Good pick up mate.

Haven't ridden a thou, but owned three 750's. Suzuki development has produced an awesome bike.
The original and still the best. Imo.
I'm drooling. Very nice. I do like that colour scheme, too.
More Suzuki porn please.

Thanks guys. Have not yet had the opportunity to take it for a ride. Got home late Sunday and it has rained fairly consistently since. The forecast is not much different, so may have to be patient. In the meantime... some Suzuki porn.

Argggh! Those Banana pipes need to go. Bpf front end should feel well planted. That is unless you are WOT in which case it's headed for the sky. You will have fun, might want to be careful with the licence.
So when are you parting the Bandit. First dibs

Sorry Reddog, Bandit is now reserved for street duties (with the occasional track foray) and the Gixxer will take over track duties. Banana pipes will stay as:
1. they should provide lots of crash protection for the rear of the bike,
2. they are cheap (should be able to pickup discards for $50 or so),
3. don't expect to need any more power.
Actually have an eye on a full Akrapovic race system for about $1200 but to do it right will need:
1. the pipe,
2. power commander,
3. ATRE (so we only have to map one gear),
4. may as well toss a K & N or similar in.
So, that lot will come to about $800, so about $2000 all up which I don't have atm,
Cheers

Hi Hammy, 38,000, it's due for a service, which it would be getting anyway plus needs a new chain.

So when are you bringing her up for an eastern creek track day?
Maybe we could organise a day? I know Mr Potato said he is keen to do one.
Keep an eye on NSW events

Re: New to me GSX-R1000K9
Am down to do California Superbike level 2 on Good Friday (this is where I get down on one knee and pray!) and so would be looking for a date in May...but only dates are May 8/9 and these are filling too quickly to plan around. How about June 2?
