Hi All,

Just sold my VstromDL1000 and finally got myself a Bandit, should have done it ages ago.

Its a 2008 K9 model

full yoshi r77 system
givi pannier setup
rear hugger
and a few other bits and pieces..

first things i want to do it get a another seat, just done a 600km trip and my bottom is a bit tender..

the only issue is the exhaust gasses have now burnt a hole into the pannier, which i have put up a discussion about to see if i can get any advice..New Member from WA Photo1_zpsc645cc9d

Hi Dazza and welcome along.  Best and cheapest fix for the seat is to find a good upholsterer who knows his/her stuff and get the seat redone. New and proper foam. Reshaped. Thats all it takes. trust me . I did.

Welcome to the forum dazza I just finished a 700 km run today with a 2hr break in between the more ya get out there the better the butt gets well that's what I find anyway .

Shame about the panniers the Bandits look better without em despite their practicality .

Cheers !!

I can recommend a Sargent seat and an air hawk for the seating issues. As for the pannier, I'd bog the hole and look at making a heat shield that sits just off the pannier with some spacers so ots not touching the plastic as that exhaust is too short for the long pannier.

Your right they look better with no luggage added, of any kind.
That didn't stop me from ordering my V35's 3 days ago. They will only be on the bike for long overnight/s rides
