Another new user saying hi!
So...HI EVERYONE!!!
Hope you don't mind me joining in. My name's Neil but everyone calls me Kurt. I'm in south east England and I work as a Paramedic in London. Prior to taking up medicine as a career I trained as an engineer and worked both at a large Suzuki dealership and also a tuning shop. I've been riding and racing bikes for the last 30 or so years. My last (drag) race bike was a 99 1216 Bandit with a lot in the motor and a 100 shot of gas. Ran that in the 9s until a piston popped out to say hello at about 150mph and my wallet cried enough!
My latest ride is a 2012 1250FA. Already has a pipe on it and my PCV should be here today.
Thanks for a great forum, I'm off to read some more here.
All the best
Kurt

Of course your welcome Kurt, we don't care where you hail from. All part of the Aussie nature
All we care about is that your riding a bike, preferably a bandit and you prefer riding to living;)

Welcome Kurt. I must say I'm envious of the availability and cost (ie cheapness) of stuff in the UK. I've a subscription to Practical Sportsbikes and love every bit of it. Enjoy your forum reading.
PS: Go Southampton (I think I'm the only supporter in Australia!!). Just need to improve the sloppy goal keeping.

Welcome Kurt. I'm married to a first gen Australian. All the rest of her clan hopped off the boat from Dorsett direction I'm led to believe.
Nothing wrong with the bandit's, plenty of bang for buck. I've had mine at tracks days keeping up with R6's, done some quick road riding and two upped the wife for quite a few k's. They are a jack of all trades, I wouldn't get rid of mine even though I know there are better and faster beasts out there. My wifes cousin will give me a go of his 2012 Western Australian State championship winning ZX10r one day That thing is an absolute rocket ship.

Welcome Kurt. Always to hear from another, even if weekend rides might be out of the question. But who knows, you are a traveller, to be sure.
I'm also new to this mob, and if you are like me, will find this forum a wealth of good ideas and advice. Enjoy.

welcome mate,
a very noble career you have. Himalayas as a medic would be testing I`m guessing, given the resources available?
happy chatting mate!!

Hi all
I'm from Melbourne. sold my '06 Bandit one year ago for a 2010 1250 FA. Absolutely love these bikes!
Wrote that off two weeks and have now gone back to the slower cruiser M109r.
Probably won't have as much fun on the bends any more but may stay out of hospital.
I have a near new sheepskin available for the Bandit (I think will fit 2004 to 2014 models) also Ventura rack and support bars plus mirror extenders if anyone is interested, let me know.
Thanks
Perry
