New seat - Sargent
Thanks to @Vellies who drove from Perth downto Bunbury I am now the proud owner of a Sargent seat (and some new pillion pegs thanks heaps)
I haven't had a chance to go for a ride yet, but so far so good. It sits much lower than stock and takes the airhawk as though it was meant for it. I even managed to get my old Triboseat on the pillion section for the wife.
Will give a run down of what I think in the coming weeks after I put a few kms on the clock.

You might be surprised with the new seat. I ordered my Air Hawk when I still had the original seat, but before I could go on a long trip to use it I changed the seat to a Corbin (simular to your Sargeant). I've since done a few 300 - 500 km day trips and haven't needed to break out the Air Hawk yet.
Re: New seat - Sargent
You'll find the Sargent much more comfortable than the stock seat. No more sore arse after 400k+

I obviously don't have a push bikers arse. I can normally only last around 250 without a break looking forward to something a little more comfy

Re: New seat - Sargent
I could never understand why people complained about the stock B1250 seat.
Now that my arse has been whipped into shape im looking for a break at 250km just to see if I have sat on a pair of teeth. I only need a 10 min walk around and all is good again. Lucky I need fuel about the same time too.
Yes the Bandit seat can be average. The FZ1 is a beauty though.

Had my sargent seat now for just over a month. 250 sore me starting to get uncomfortable 300 with air hawk, have done a 950k day in the last 2 weeks and felt like i did on a typical 400 k day can't speak highly enough of it, I think the Air hawk will be staying in the cupboard for now.

G'day Gents,
Where is the BEST place to get one of these Sargent seats?
What sort of dollars.
Sounds like they would be worth it, no matter. Going to Google now.

AMC are the Australian distributors of Sargent seats, however you'll need to be patient. A lot of guys on here have complained about AMC and how slow they are delivering Sargent seats. I've dealt with them twice (not for a seat) and I can't complain, both times they were very fast. So maybe its Sargent seats in the US that is the problem

Re: New seat - Sargent
I'd be buying from the US direct. Heaps cheaper and no bullshit. That is unless someone on here is offloading one
Second ride on mine and I am happy as a pig in shit

I'm in similar 5h1t as you Reddog, I bought one off Rob here on the forum almost a couple of years ago, best seat I've had on a scooter, hours of travel are a snack, unlike the standard piece of 10 x 2 inch hardwood Suzuki have as an oem butt rest...

Re: New seat - Sargent
got mine few weeks ago - went for a proper ride few days ago - much comfier than stock.
interesting though - I now 'move' along the seat - with the stock seat I just sat with my balls up against the tank all the time, with this one I do that when in town and on twisties but on motorway I push my arse back and enjoy the foam!
I'm not best placed to look at diference as I've also changed handlebars to renthal ultra lows (thans to reading this forum!!) so a lot of changes at the mo
have to say I turned up at my mates in Argyll, 200 miles away and my arse was fine - seat or handlebars or both are an improvement
