Pazzo Levers and Barkbusters
Has anyone had experience fitting Pazzo Levers (long) with Barkbusters on a Suzuki Bandit 1250sa.
Would appreciate the benefit of your experience. Have dealer indicating problem on left side. Clutch lever not extending its full range before hitting the Barkbuster. Have friend with Storm installed who has said OK but don't know if he has Pazzo. Possibly not.
I didn't think length of Pazzo levers that much different from normal levers.
Have asked for Photo from dealer.
What level of responsibility should I expect from a dealer when fitting accessories they are selling, on a new bike I am buying from them?

Why do you want Bark Busters ? Are you going riding in the bush ? In my opinion, BB's are for trail bikes and thats where they should stay.

Re: Pazzo Levers and Barkbusters
Hi Hammy, I understand your sentiment. The reason I have ordered them is because I have found them very effective in cutting down wind chill factor on hands when riding in wet and cold conditions.
Update: Barkbuster product, that the dealer is trying to fit, is Ego. It has metal backbone.
Have
found that Barkbuster fitment chart and it says nothing about fitting Ego to
Suzuki Bandit 1250s. Rather they indicate Storm (which does not have
metal backbone). Since dealer has not discussed with me which Barkbuster
product or order, the decision to order the Ego product was all their's. Have asked them to consider replacing Ego with Storm and see if same problems.

Re: Pazzo Levers and Barkbusters
A lot of us 1250'ers that aren't as brave as Hammy and have wimped out and fitted hand guard protectors for cold/wet conditions have gone with the OEM Suzuki V-Strom setup, a combination of of both DL650 and DL1000 parts. There is quite a few threads throughout this forum and others that have info and photos, this one has a bit of info on both the Barkbuster and the V-Strom....link
Personally I like the V-Strom, but like everything else, you only really need to please one person, yourself.

Barkbusters
I have Storm S1 Barkbusters on my bike - they're only wind shields & not any protection if bike topples over. They do help in cold weather, especially in rain.

Pazzo levers are similar length to Factory, but the angle is a bit different so they could foul the Barkbusters.
Buy a pair of decent winter gloves and bin the handguards...

Re: Pazzo Levers and Barkbusters
I have Storm Barkbusters on my 2007 1250 and have had no problems with my cheap copy Pazzo-type levers fitting in behind the Barkbusters. As Robert says they are only wind/rain protectors (not crash protection) but I like that here in the Southern Highlands.

Bandit in the garage now, no barkbusters
Well the dealer has removed the Barkbusters Ego product from the Bandit. I took delivery of the bike on Saturday. Barkbusters Storm product is in so will pick them up next weekend and fit them myself. Will update here with final outcome then.
Thanks all for your feedback. Appreciate your contribution to my question.
