Gday
everybody from sunny Wagga Wagga. I've Been sneakily gleaning info from this site for years & thought it was about time to register. Just got back from the Island, had a great weekend down there. For once the weather held out, was a nice change. An extra hello to B12Mick. Cheers Jimmy.

Jimmy the Boy wrote:G'day Mick, yes my "real" Bandits fuel tap got switched to reserve on the way home from PI about 20kms the other side of Mango. Let me tell ya I was sweating bullets coming in to town but made it home ( Gurwood St ) with a tiny bit left. I think about 55km sitting on a dollar thirty, was really impressed actually.

I know the feeling. A group of us (Redbacks) did a ride up to Cabramurra via Tumut back home through Tumba last year. We filled up at Tumut, didn't bother at Cabramurra figuring that we'd fill up at Tumba. Well we rolled in to Tumba and there was no power at all in town. No power means no fuel. We rang Batlow and they had no power either. So we very gingerly rode to Tartcutta via Humula. I went on to reserve just outside Humula.

We made it to Tarcutta. We'd done about 260km since Tumut. I put in 17lt. One of the blokes was on a Ducati 999, he put in 15lt. I couldn't believe that a Ducati 999 was more economical than the bandit, but there you have it. Turns out old matey on the Ducati had been using his 'angel gear' since 5km out of Tumba when the fuel warning light came on.
