General Accessories Question
I'm after a bit of advice regarding some accessories I removed from my Bandit after purchase.
Basically I bought the Bandit from a colleague who had it set up as a full on tourer. He removed the tow bar to fit to his next Bandit which I was more than happy with (I removed the trailer plug for him and returned it to him). It also came with Givi top box and pannier racks (no side boxes), however I did not like the Givi panniers as the rear indicators were relocated on them and I just thought it spoilt the lines of the bike (vain I know). I intend to tour with the wife using the bike so replaced the Givi panniers with Oxford X60's which is more than enough for us when we also use the topbox, Andy Strapz bag and tank bag.
So the question is should I keep the Givi racks (I have sides and rails for another top box, but no top box plate) or sell them? Cash is not an issue, I don't need to sell them, I just don't like things lying around because eventually if/when I sell the bike in the future, if I store these I'm likely to forget, then I'll give myself an uppercut. What do people typically do? Keep stuff and sell it with the bike later (assuming they remember they stored it) or sell it now?
Throw me some ideas.

Re: General Accessories Question
honestly, thats up to you what you want to do,but personally,if its something that "i`d" never use,i`d ditch it. In my opinion,it`s only taking up space, and you end up tripping over useless crap. Try sell it and make some bucks.

+1. If you're not going to use it, sell it. It's a win-win for seller and buyer.

Almost choked on my cupa, I thought I read that Gus was interested in buying Givi equipment, had to read that twice
A couple of things that might help identify and advertise what you have, if the indicators are mounted on the pannier racks, it sounds like you have original Suzuki kit, the Givi setup has the indicators relocated to the tail number plate light assemble. You might get a little more for them if they are actual Suzuki accessories as opposed to after market. I assume they are the straight mounts so they will fit any pannier other than the V35 range, but if they are curved to follow the bike lines then they will only fit the V35's. The (bike frame) mounting rails are specific to the water cooled Bandits.
And I agree with the others, holding onto stuff you don't need/use is a waste of space, hence the reason I sold off all my Ventura kit, good luck selling it.
Re: General Accessories Question
Thanks guys, I was leaning towards selling for all the reasons you've given, but just thought there might be a remote chance that keeping them may be of benefit.
I wasn't aware of the difference between aftermarket and OEM racks with the indicators, I had seen the plate mounted version when researching and probably would have left the panniers in place had they been like that. However I'm very happy I removed them now, the bike looks normal again Thanks for letting me know. Its a 2004 Bandit air cooled and explains why the seller couldn't refit anything he had (other than the towbar) to his 2009 Bandit.
Guess I just need to do some more research now and determine a fair price before selling them, anyone know links to Aussie retailers? Every search I tried took me to UK sites. I think my search criteria might have been too specific
