I found out .
Whats behind that silver plug ,this.
A clip holding the secondary shaft that the butterflies have been removed from .So ,its useless in theory , and you lot know what I'm thinking dont you .
The shaft goes through the 4 intakes ,bad in itself (yes ? )
The other end has some round thing (technical term ) on the end of the shaft .
How about cutting the shaft so the intakes are clear ?
The round thing doesn't know if the shaft is 30mm or 300 mm .
With me ?

Just when I though you had beaten your addiction to tinkering Gus, but yes we, or at least I am with you to see what creation you come up with next.

Re: I found out .
The left one will still be in place as it has to operate , it will (would be)cut so its level with the intake but not travel threw it , The same goes
for the right one ,clip stay's in place .
That leaves 6 holes.Arrrr, how about bungs or the rod sealed in the holes .??/
I'll need to have a look .
Probably no real advantage in doing all this ,but the thought of that rod blocking air annoyes me .
Inthe Topic "devils work " (search box ) Their is a pic of the butterflies removed on my best dress .Could some one who knows how copy that pic and
post it bellow .It makes it a lot easyer to understand .Thanks .

Re: I found out .
Its a bit of a scary thought what to put in those holes in case the motor eats it .I did like my last thought as i was riding .Something like that
surf legrope stuff or rubber .Pull it through the holes keeping it streached (so its smaller )let it go so it expands , trim ends .like a ear plug does .If it gets sucked in, it might just get spat out with no harm .Thanks Barry
The more i look at that bar the more i want rid of it .

Re: I found out .
I havent taken mine out but its sounding like its more trouble than its worth.
But can you drill more holes in the bar and lessen the % blocked?
Its taking up what 5% now but is helping to swirl the air flow which the engine might need for good combustion.

Re: I found out .
The shaft the goes from the STVA to the STPS needs to be there.
How are you guna work around that?
Leave well enough alone and just ride.

Firstly, the pic is the end of the trottle bodys not the secondaryies ,my mistake .
The secondaries are run buy a motor in the CENTRE of the 4 intakes (black plastic thing ).When this turns the info is read buy the plug on the LHS .
No bar , no info gets sent .ERROR is shown , good idea but , not do-able .
Oh well at least it made me use my brain .

Re: I found out .
If I was to make my Bike Standard again(Hell NO) I would still 100% leave out the secondaries. I like to control the throttle myself, Not the computer!2wheelsagain wrote:I havent taken mine out but its sounding like its more trouble than its worth.

I was meaning removing the shaft was more trouble than it was worth.

It will still be over weight with dodgy brakes and suspension :!lol:
Don't be upset if I haul past with 11k on the tac with another gear to go
Re: I found out .
I agree ,removing the secondaries transformed a a boring ride to a yeeeharrrr .And cost zip .

I was gonna say the same thing. I wouldn't bother removing the shaft, seems like a lot of things could go wrong.

Re: I found out .
I removed the blades, rod, sensor and actuator servo motor. I used a Healtech STVE - 03 to avoid code 28 & code 29. Works great and I believe smoother more predictable throttle control without the turbulence the rod causes left in.gus wrote:Firstly, the pic is the end of the trottle bodys not the secondaryies ,my mistake .
