Geelong Carbon Craft Tank Cover.
On Friday,( at about 11.30 am) I ordered a carbon tank cover from Geelong Carbon Craft. At around 2pm I got an email saying they had mailed it. At 0930 this morning (monday) it arrived, cannot complain about that.
Thats service.
Now, there are quite a few inclusions in the top coat however, fluff, small hairs and lots of very small pinholes. Not that happy about that. Out in the sun it looks great and these imperfections aren't as noticable, but I know they are there. I think a polish would remove some.
Ill take some photos and post them. Its the same as the one on Boomers bike.
I also ordered a corbin seat, but thats coming from the US so it'll be a bit longer.
Oh and a fork brace.

Re: Geelong Carbon Craft Tank Cover.
No, I haven't spoken to them yet i had a good look at it today and I have a few concerns. One is that water can still get in under it because the tape that holds it on isn't continuous around the edge. If water and dirt get under the tank bra type cover, I can just remove it and clean regularly, not so with this. And I cannot get past the imperfections in the finish. If it was 50 bucks ok, but 179, well I expect near perfection.
Am I being to fussy???
Also it does not line up perfectly, it fits the tank contours perfectly but then other edges are not symetrical. It's not a lot out but it is noticable.
I'm just venting, end of rant.
Ps. I tried taking photos and they don't show the pinholes etc.

Re: Geelong Carbon Craft Tank Cover.
My wife got a Geelong Carbon Craft tank protector for her M750 and was never really happy with it. She has since replaced it with a 'plastic' tank pad, much happier now.
I'm a cheapskate, so my tank protector is a couple of strips of black contact. Doesn't look flash, but does the job.
