FOR SALE Bandit bits
After Hammys glowing review of the 5 degree ignition advancer for the 1200, I now have to have one. So I had a look in my parts box and found these things peeps may need / want.
For Sale...
Renthal Ultra Low 7/8" handlebars - gold coloured. As new condition.
Colour choice changed on my other bike so these are surplus to my requirements.
Visit... http://www.renthal.com/File/apps1.asp?tabtype=5&productid=0&appid=ROAD for dimentions.
For pictures, Google Renthal Ultra Low and a good selection of images come up.
Asking $45.
Adjustable brake and clutch levers suit 1200/1250 Bandit. "Normal" length.
These were on my 650F for a very short time - sold the bike but kept the levers.
These "feel" really good to use but blue doesn't go well with a red and gold bike.
Also as new condition.
Asking $25
Cheers.

Hey Ironman. I forgot to ask you what octane fuel do you find is best in your 1200. I am running 95. Does not like 98, and I think there is no noticable difference when having to use 91 either. Whats your take ?

Re: FOR SALE Bandit bits
Was using 98 and have stopped for the time being. I found a local servo that had straight 91 with no boot leg booze in it. Engine felt smoother. Same mileage as with 98 but then again that is very subjective as I can not replicate same riding conditions etc from tank to tank. Now I use 95. Purely as it is cheaper than 98.
Re: FOR SALE Bandit bits
I normally use 91 without the moonshine. Bike does 11.7 qtr miles at a touch under 200km/h with it's current jetting and my fat arse on it's back.
It will have a hint of pre ignition on 91 during those summer days where the gum trees spontaneously combust. In that situation run 95 or ride faster to get more air over the fins.
I'm yet to discover a fuel my bike refuses to take (ok diesel doesn't work so well) I really honestly cannot tell the difference between 91/95/98 on my highly sensitive and calibrated NATA approved arse dyno on the 1200.

Cheers Guys. The timing advancer is sposed to help it run on any pump fuel but I have not tried it with the 98 yet. Not sure if I will.
