Rear guard idea .
Since I've gone down the street fighter road a rear guard looks geriatric (like me ).Trouble is certain times of the year police go looking for
this mod . (Xmas and Easter esp )
If you were to put fiberglass on the underside of the guard BEFORE you cut it down you would end up with a nice perfect mold .Doesn't have to be
neat at you wont see it .When dry remove mold and clean up .
Very cleanly with a thin hack-saw blade cut down rear guard to desired length .
The piece you removed could now be glued to the exact spot on the mold .
This would allow you to replace the rear guard whenever you wanted with a couple of bolts hidden behind the number plate .
With me?

Re: Rear guard idea .
Sounds like a lot of work for a maybe Gus.
I have a bolt on shovel that was about $12 from the bike shop.
Its hanging in my shed easy to go back on for inspection if its ever required.

Re: Rear guard idea .
Fiberglass hates that plastic so it will release no problems ,trim, a spray of paint and it will looks like this . A few air bubbles not a problem . A mould of the inside of the guard .
As you can see there is enough shape so guard will locate in the exact position and not slide around .

This is a pic of the part of the rear guard i cut off (bottom piece ).Attached to the mould i made (top piece )
You can see two holes in the top to allow it to be attached to the top of the original guard .The head of the bolts will be hidden behind the
number plate .
The idea is to clip it into place if needed .

Do you have a removeable baffle Gus ? If so. Why is it still in ?
I thought you " Streetfighter set " were all mean and noisey.

Re: Rear guard idea .
Good question .Because i shortened the can by 120mm (dent ) it changed the note .With the db killer out it is louder but just not as nice .Like running
no can at all its loud but not nice loud . There is a Harley that comes past my place Fn LOUD ,All noise no substance ,like my ex girlfriend .
