Hire bikes
A mate at work is going to Vietnam & wants to see the place by motorbike. Has anyone ever done this and can you recommend a good hire company ?

Just tell him to be "carefull" what kind of bike he rides over there. Tip : Check for a cross-bar.

I can't recall seeing a speed limit above 80kmh throughout the entire country .. and there seems to a gazillion scooters and not many bikes

Paul, my dealer went on a Vietnam ride holiday about August last year for 11 days, riding Russian Ural’s, reckoned it was fantastic, even in pissing rain. I recall Dec 11 Two Wheels having an article on touring Vietnam too (hmm, or was it AMCN, shit, I’ll have to rummage through the shed..). Talking to some including Damian, sounds like a must do! Best o luck.
