The bandit is now finally running how I want it to. Not running the baffle unless I want to squeeze a bit better economy, but at 5.1L/100k I'm happy. As Dhula recommends, after a Tb sync, the learned value needs to be reset. To do this without the proper tool what I did was; Disconnect the Neg lead from the battery and drag it across to the Pos lead and touch the 2 leads together. Hold them there while you turn the Ignition on for 2 -3 seconds. Then reconnect the Neg lead to the neg battery terminal and reset the clock. There's no surge, Good throttle response, it tears up a hill like a rocket. I don't go over 4th gear in 60 - 80 kph or labours the engine, It's Fantastic! If you're worried about shorting anything out while resetting the learned value. Remove the battery first and then hold the leads together. I found that it also erases any errors from the Ecu and resets it back to factory settings.

So was it the TB or the reset that fixed it for you. Smile

Interesting technique K, I've not heard of that one before I don't think. But if it has done what needed doing, then that is a great outcome.
Could you hear any noises from the bike while the ISC reset itself?
Interested in your answer as when using the OBD tool or SDS to do the reset I'm sure I could hear it doing it's thing.

On a side note, I've found that to do a what is essentially a learned vale reset on the Wee strom you follow the following steps (this is for a 2011 model)
1. fit dealer switch
2. switch dealer switch to on
(or pin the dealer plug similar to the bandit)
3. switch on ign, let it go thru the start up cycle (do not start the engine tho)
4. switch off the ign
5. wait more than 10 seconds (as which time you can hear it doing stuff)
6. switch off dealer switch
7. unplug the dealer switch
(or unpin the dealer plug)

Wonder if that method would do the same on the bandit

@4wa It was the reset that did it in the end. @ Dhula No. No sound what so ever. The ecu is just another computer me thinks. And whenever I've had to remove a virus and/or errors I've always removed the battery and shorted the terminals out. The other thing I've found is that there's no longer any difference in economy between 95ron and 98ron.

What are the advantages of doing the Learned Value Reset?
Will it affect the TFI Box settings?

Resetting starts everything of from the beginning. The ECU recalculates air, fuel, . Mine kept going back to the same settings until I reset it.
