Hey Rick, thanks. This was a budget build to be honest as it's my first attempt at something different. The headers are stock with a high level link pipe from "Just Bandits". The can is a one off job which was a bugger when it came to tuning. It's got 67mm clear bore so really grunts at full noise. Re jetting was done by Ron Soloman, (R.I.P.) of Ball High Performance Tuning in Sunshine so don't know exact specs cos I didn't do it, just know it pulls like a freight train. Front end is Hayabusa polished USD with polished wheel, Busa 6 pots on rotors I picked up from evilbay. Front fender is a modded Gixer 750 job. Headlight pod was crafted from an RS250 Aprillia tail pod, (Now been replaced due to lack of night time vision). Tail is '02 R1 race glass, reinforced and clear LED tail light fitted. No cutting of the Bandit frame apart from cargo lugs required to fit the tail. Polishing of swinga, caseings, heel guards wheels etc by myself. A bit of spit and polish on a stock item can make a world of difference. Various other bits and pieces, stainless lines, battery covers, master cylinders etc mainly sourced from egay and http://www.streetfighters.com.au/ top bunch of blokes, (And girls), a few of whom are lurking on this forum.

Howdy, Great build.

Thinking about fitting up a busa front end on my 08. You run into any real problems with your swap?

Hi, No problems with swap really, just steering stops & a little brass bush I had turned up to allow for about 1.5mm diameter difference between Busa & Bandit stem Dia. Just pushed the stem from stock clamps into Busa clamps. Used top & bottom Busa clamps, (Just tossed the top cover with clip on clamps). Used Bandit bearings, (Obviousley) and Busa lock nut. If you're feeling adventurous, you can wels a simple lugg onto the frame and use a stock Busa steering damper too. These can be picked up for about $80 from wreckers. Forks are about 40mm shorter than stock Mk1 items so steering is sharper and back brake useless under very heavy braking. Stoppies are easy tho so not all bad ! Laughing
