Bars Left or Right
Bars Left or Right?
First topic message reminder :
Because I haven’t had any controversy on here for a few days
I thought I would pose a serious question and see if I can rattle some cages
When parked using the side stand do you turn the bars left or right?
Left would appear to be the correct way because that’s the way I do it and because the steering lock is set up that way.
Why do we not all turn the bars left What’s your reason for the recalcitrant amongst you

Bars always to the left. Right (to me anyway) looks more unstable.

Re: Bars Left or Right?
Just out of interest - the manual says to turn the bars to the left and there is a reason for this - if you turn the bars to the right [all the way to the right in particular], and then give the bike an ever so gentle nudge it will crash to the ground very easily so if you do this be very careful. the angles it creates makes the bike want to roll forward - you can try it while sitting on the bike

I agree BAZ, I go with whatever makes the bike feel more stable. Depends on road camber etc.

We must be a strange lot or maybe we had too hard a night before and couldn't be bothered turning them either way. Photo was at 9.00am.
